Poor foal trying to recover from a broken leg
In most cases if a horse breaks their leg then unfortunately euthanasia is often the only option, but in some cases with the help of advanced veterinary techniques a foal may be able to be saved. It typically take up to 8 weeks for a fracture to heal, but the rehabilitation period is more likely to take up to 6 months.
